About us

Africa ReAdapt is a pan-African NGO committed to redefining climate change adaptation through the lens of feministt and decolonial methodologies. With a deep respect for Africa's diverse communities, histories, and socio-culltural futuring, we work hand-in-hand with local communities to develop and implement climate adaptation strategies that are inherently rooted in local knowledge and practices. By prioritizing community agency and amplifying the voices that have often been marginalized in mainstream climate discourses, we aim to foster strategies that resonate with the lived experiences of African peoples.

OUR VISION

A continent of climate smart communities positioned to lead in adaptive practice - both locally and globally.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to co-create adaptation strategies that are rooted in community-based socio-ecological intelligence, informed by multiple ways of knowing, and driven by decolonial methodologies.
